12.06.13: Shark City... We Ain't Leavin' EVEN IF We're Heavin'!

If you perform in bars long enough, it's bound to happen... someone in your audience will drink themselves sick. Well, we can file our Shark City (Glendale Heights) show last weekend in that category.

Now, the reasons can be endless. But once it happens, you can pretty much guarantee that the barfer will exit, never to be seen again. Well, folks, we have a first... the person in question did indeed leave, but he returned shortly thereafter (in fresh clothes and, hopefully, fresh breath!) to finish the night interpretive dancing to the sweet sound of Seven Soul. Talk about dedication!

(I can't really say I blame him... we were SMOKIN' HOT on Friday night!!! BOY, that was a great show!)

We also recruited other (less sickly) SoulMates. Wade and the two Mikes enjoyed our performance... "Polar Bear" also enjoyed the show... and Tursin (hope I spelled that correctly!) from Germany was ready to become our manager and send us on a tour of his homeland! Seven Soul also delivered some much needed music therapy to a mom and her daughter, who were especially enamoured with the rock stylings of our guitarists. Best wishes on your road to recovery, ladies!

But, it's always very special and humbling when members of other bands show us some love. Al (drums) and George (bass) from the Hard Rock Fossils listened in, Kenny (drums) from The AARP Band, was seen chair dancing, and Buddy (vocals) from Hinge stopped by. We also had SoulMate Numero Uno in attendance... Laura, you're the BEST!

SoulMate Numero Uno (Laura) hangs out with Steve and Pete between sets.

And, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that last Friday was our very own guitarist's birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVE!!!

So on this chilly Monday morning, I'll leave you all with this... last Friday, someone yelled "Free Bird!" as is often heard during a live show. Well, we're not so sure Free Bird is the right song for us, but we do want your suggestions! We have two more shows before we take a little break to learn new tunes. Now is your chance to
tell us what you want to hear!

Until we meet again, SoulMates... stay warm and be cool!
